(TNO) While hydropower plants report losses or profits plummeted, thermal and solar power companies generate large revenues. Bamboo Capital JSC (BCG) achieved after-tax profit after the first three months of this year of VND14.28 billion, an increase of 163% compared to early 2018. The company explained that some subsidiaries are more efficient so the profit margin is increasing. Bamboo Capital is one of the businesses that is promoting investment in renewable energy. Construction is expected to start in the first quarter of next year, and the plant will begin to generate electricity in the second quarter of 2019. With its experience in renewable energy development and construction, Coara Solar will be the EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction) contractor, providing technology and technical consultancy and carrying out the construction.

Long An, on June 22, 2017, BCG Băng Dương and Hanwha signed a joint investment agreement on the implementation of solar power projects. The signing ceremony was joined by the leaders of the province, departments and representatives of the two parties.
